Often in the academy we grasp our ideas as tightly as possible, fearing that someone else might steal them and publish them before we get the chance.  And yet, as a theologian I'd like to model my understandings of the Kin-dom of God that include mutual cooperation, the free exchange of ideas, and giving back to the world even as others have poured their efforts into my own life.
